I've been doing a lot of opening shifts recently at work.

This past week it's been especially difficult to drag myself out of the nice warm bed out into the cold dark mornings.

Probably the only incentive I have to get up at all is the sooner I'm in the store and have opened up the espresso bar, the sooner I can have a hot drink made the way I like ( Read more... )

Well, we've only had three weeks of classes and we're already off for Easter. It's nice in a way, it's too early for assignments so for once I can actually just focus on getting caught up/ ahead on reading for classes, instead of frantically working on everything that's going to be due when we get back.

I've been practicing the fern pattern in drinks at work these past few weeks. The good thing about being in so regularly (5 days a week, every week since uni finished) is that I've got a lot of time to practice.

It is apparently physically impossible for me to give a brief answer to questions related to coffee or other drinks we make at work.

I probably go into way too much detail (I know customers sometimes get a glazed, half-fearful look in their eyes when I start going on and on), but I don't often get to be in that position. People just don't ask ( Read more... )
